Solar Applications - Architects & Builders
Architects & Builders »
EWSE’s Building Integrated PhotoVoltaic and Solar Thermal products enables you to create visually stunning building designs and deliver cost-effective, sustainable solar energy to the tenants. Our modules are not add-ons, but are in integral part of the building's skin. They are used just like the standard building materials they replace. But, they have the added value of generating electricity from the sun - nature's most abundant resource.
We will be pleased to assist you in developing an EWSE system that is tailored to the construction and location of the structure you are designing. We can also guide you through any local requirements to connect your system to the power grid to sell any excess electricity you generate. Working in partnership, we can help you create an outstanding looking design that also delivers sustainable solar energy.
Benefits
With new building-integrated solar technology, state rebates, federal tax credits, and energy-efficient mortgages, it's a great time to look into solar electricity.
Many builders across the country have found that energy efficient and solar houses will sell faster than competitive houses, saving builders significant costs they typically incur when holding onto unsold inventory.
More and more homeowners are also seeing the added value of solar homes because energy-efficient buildings are better buildings. They use less energy, cost less to operate, and improve comfort. They help the environment and our nation, improving our energy security, as well as the everyday lives of Americans.
Builders who are interested in incorporating solar into their building plans can consult "A Homebuilder's Guide to Going Solar" to begin learning about the technology and the steps to consider when working with solar.
Contact EW&SE and one of our renewable energy specialist will be happy to answer any questions you may have about solar for your projects.

NOW IS THE TIME TO GO SOLAR!
For Construction: Read more about State Incentives.
Federal Corporate Tax Credit - Energy Efficient New Homes Tax Credit For Home Builders
DCEO - Energy Efficient Affordable Housing Construction Program
For Homeowners: Residential solar systems are eligible for a 30% uncapped Federal Solar Tax Credit and the State of Illinois offers a 30% Rebate capped at $10,000.
For Businesses: Commercial solar systems are eligible for a 30% Federal Solar Tax Credit and the State of Illinois offers grant programs providing up to 30% of the cost of a solar system capped at $250,000.
This important law significantly increases the affordability and financial return on a solar system for both residential and commercial, making it one of the safest and best investments available today.
