State Rebates
The State of Illinois offers a state rebate with guidelines (capped at $10,000) to help Illinois Residents pay the costs of solar & wind. The funds are typically allocated on a first come first serve basis until the budget has been spent. This program is legislated into law until 2015.


2013 Guidelines
Solar PV

Rebates will be limited to:
$1.50/watt or 25% of project cost for Homeowners and Businesses
$2.60/watt or 40% of project cost for Non-Profits and Public Entities
$10,000 maximum


Solar Thermal
Rebates will be limited to:
$1.70/watt or 30% of project cost for Homeowners and Businesses
$2.60/watt or 40% of project cost for Non-Profits and Public Entities
$10,000 maximum


Wind
Rebates will be limited to:
$1.70/watt or 30% of project cost for Homeowners and Businesses
$2.60/watt or 40% of project cost for Non-Profits and Public Entities
$10,000 maximum


Federal Tax Credit
Homeowners and Businesses - Solar & Wind systems are eligible for a 30% uncapped Federal Tax Credit. This program is legislated into law until 2016.
In addition, Businesses are eligible for an accelerated depreciation.

Additional Incentives
Non-Profits and Public Entities may be eligible for grant funding from the Illinois Clean Energy Community Foundation. Grant cycles are typically twice a year. Funding considerations maybe as high as 60% of the system installed cost.
